Generation for governments
We partner with governments to accelerate employment and economic mobility.
How does Generation work with government partners?
We help people get new skills and jobs by deploying public funding to deliver our programs, typically through public institutions (technical and vocational programs).
We also work with governments to build the capacity of public skilling systems. We train their staff to use our methodology, generating a better return on public investment.
We train and place learners in sectors with high employment potential, focusing on the skills and qualities employers require.
Benefits of working with Generation
We work closely with our public sector partners. We collect data about our graduates to comply with government tracking requirements of our programming.
Generation has received global recognition, including being honored by the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), being named among the Top 100 proposals for the MacArthur Foundation’s 100&Change competition, and receiving the Roddenberry Prize for bold solutions to social challenges.

#GETREADYSG (SkillsFuture) in Singapore
The #GETREADYSG initiative is a collaborative effort between Generation, the local government, Microsoft, Digital Industry Singapore, the Infocomm Media Development Authority, and SkillsFuture Singapore to focus on developing tech talent. Over two years, we provided training programs and job matching opportunities for over a thousand job seekers.
The programme goes beyond industry-specific training, it also emphasizes upskilling of training institutions, with the goal of achieving a win-win outcome for all stakeholders involved.
