Overview
Junior Data Engineer training program aims to break through the traditional job requirements that focus solely on educational background and provide a starting point for aspiring individuals to enter the IT industry. This 12-week program will equip learners with the necessary technical and soft skills to kick start their careers in the technology field.
Even without relevant knowledge or work experience in the technology industry, first time job seekers can join the field of data analytics or relevant work through our comprehensive training program that will equip them with the necessary industry skills, workplace mindset and behavioural techniques, employment counselling, tips for job search, and job placement services.
Alongside teaching computer programming skills, the course covers a wide range of topics including generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, data pipelines, data collection, data processing and analysis, analytical tools, data visualization, Python, SQL, Power BI, and other essential tools and skills. Learners will have the opportunity to complete two group data analysis projects during the course to gain practical experience.

Requirements
- First time job seeker who is aspiring to become a Junior Data Engineer and ready for immediate employment upon completing the course
- Applicants should meet the following conditions:
- A Hong Kong residence
- Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong
- Graduate who obtained or will obtain a university degree, associate degree (including associate diploma and higher diploma), Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE), or equivalent qualifications (including International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, Foundation Diploma, Diploma Yi Jin) in 2022, 2023, or by 2024.
- Full-time employment (calculated consecutively) not exceeding six months (including the probationary period)
- No prior academic background or work experience in the relevant industry
- Proficient in both English and Chinese
- Interest in data research and enthusiastic about learning new technology tools
- Strong logical thinking ability, good at defining and clarifying key points
- Basic computer and programming knowledge (Complete the free online class Introduction to Python to obtain the basic programming knowledge)
