
Karuna Tsang
Director of Fundraising and Head of Special Projects
Karuna Tsang serves as the Director of Fundraising and Head of Special Projects at Generation Hong Kong, where she works closely with the CEO to devise the organization’s fundraising strategies and new initiatives for beneficiaries that align with Generation’s mission and vision. Since joining Generation Hong Kong in 2021, she has established close partnership with local and global funders in her prior capacity as the Director of Program Operations, including the Apollo Opportunity Foundation, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The PwC Foundation etc., to drive impact that increases employability of needful youth, mobilizes corporate volunteering resource, strengthens the Generation alumni community for peer support and advocates interventions that transform the education-to-employment journey for the talent ecosystem.
Prior to joining Generation, Karuna was driven by her dedication for education and future of work, having pivoted her career from public affairs to the nonprofit sector. As an entrepreneurial change maker who has 15+ years of experience managing integrated communications campaigns across different markets, Karuna brings a wealth of expertise in stakeholder engagement, government relations, strategic communications and change management, consistently achieving measurable outcomes and business goals. She previously worked for international Public Relations firms The Hoffman Agency and Burston-Marsteller, and global startup WeWork.
Karuna graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations, complemented by a minor in Japanese. As a recipient of the Davis United World Colleges Scholars Programme at university, she developed a strong foundation in advocating the power of educational initiatives. Her dedication to this mission continues as she leads the marketing volunteer team for the United World Colleges Hong Kong Committee outside of work, where she is a mentor and advocates for transformational educational opportunities that empower needful individuals to bring positive and sustainable changes to the world.
