The Property and Facilities Support Assistant (PFSA) targets school leavers and unemployed individuals aged 18- 29 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Developed in collaboration with property management professionals, this vocational training equips learners with essential skills for roles in property and facilities management. The program also enhances behavioral skills and mindsets, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and self-confidence. Upon completion, graduates receive professional guidance and job matching services tailored to their interests and abilities.

Property and facilities services involve tenant servicing, maintaining facilities and ensuring property safety. With Hong Kong’s growing emphasis on sustainable building management, roles in this field are increasingly vital.

This program is part of The Jockey Club CLAP-TECH Pathway: Star, funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust under the Jockey Club Multiple Pathways initiative.

💼 Job Shadowing

This program offers a 3–5 days long job shadowing experience at a property management company, where participants apply their knowledge of property and facilities management while honing essential soft skills, such as communication and teamwork, in real-world scenarios. Aptitude Test

In your own time, please complete a couple of online tasks. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have any existing knowledge or experience to do this.

Interview

We’ll invite you to join an interview session so we can get to know you better and your motivations to join the program!

Class begins

13 weeks

Take part in some welcome activities to get to know your class, then get ready to join us on day one of the program which will include a paid internship and job placement support!

Requirements

  • School leavers or unemployed youth aged 12–18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Basic self-care abilities
  • Basic computer and smartphone operation knowledge
  • Receptive to customer-facing tasks
  • Keen to start a full-time job after training (subject to job offer) and not enrolled in other full-time courses for the next 12 months
  • Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong
  • Pass the online test and interview

About CLAP@JC x Generation

CLAP@JC x Generation is an innovative youth initiative co-created by CLAP@JC and Generation Hong Kong. Through offering free training programs, we aim to upskill learners to embrace the challenges of todays’ competitive job market and attain long-term career development opportunities.

Currently, we offer 5-12-week full-time bootcamp-style programs focusing on essential skills for entry-level job roles in various industries. The curriculum, designed in consultation with employers, integrates technical, behavioral, and mindset training.

Learners will receive mentorship support and learn how to create a tailored CV using CV360® to highlight their Values, Attitudes, Skills, and Knowledge (VASK), enabling employers to grasp their interests and potential. Upon program completion, employer partners will provide job interview opportunities for graduates.

I am jobless or currently not working. How does the program ensure practical skills and enhance employability?

This free Robot Support Assistant program (employability booster) is designed in collaboration with employers. The program content is closely aligned with industry fundamentals and the most commonly used skills, allowing you to quickly acquire the necessary skills and knowledge while enhancing your competitiveness in the job market. The program provides comprehensive manual quality assurance testing skill training and employment support, including group projects, as well as support like job referrals. These opportunities will help you gain practical experience and successfully transition into a new career. Upon completion, you will have the potential to work as a Robot Controller, Robot QA Tester, Robot (SLAM) Assistant, Shopping Mall Robot Service Ambassador, thereby increasing your job prospects.

Does the program provide job guarantees?

Generation provides a robust employer partner network. Learners from the program will have access to interview opportunities. To ensure that learners successfully transit into new careers, we offer pre-employment support, including resume writing skills training, job interview skills training, mock interview practice, and more. These trainings are designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and preparation to successfully transition into a new career. 

What is the purpose behind organising this course?

Generation Hong Kong is holding “Robot Support Assistant” Employability Booster program, which is designed for  unemployed youth with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to provide full-time vocational training in “Robot Support Assistant” work. The course content is designed in collaboration with employers and professional partners, enabling students to acquire knowledge, skills, and operation of robot applications in a short period of time. At the same time, the course also aims to improve students’ behavioural skills and mindset. Upon graduation, learners will receive professional consultation and employment matching services based on their interests and abilities.
